Director Wee turns this all too well known retail reputation of Singapore on its head by crafting an urban fairytale which promises both whimsy and reality against the backdrop of sparkling shopping centres in Singapore. Here, Wee illustrates the empty romances of the shoppers trapped in the malls in a way that is both subtle and pop. Amongst the charming cast, especially not to be missed is Adrian Pang, who starred in the first Singaporean film ever to be theatrically released in Japan, "Forever Fever".
